Based on the rich technical knowledge accumulated over the long years of participating in motorsports, we made our shift toward electric vehicles in 2009 and accelerated efforts in the new technical field. With our first compact EV sport car “E-Runner Mini Sport”, we have successfully developed vehicles and technology associated to EV Commuter car (Ultra Compact Mobility), EV converted car and Range Extender using a Bio-Fuel generator. Further, we continued participation in motorsports with a pure electric racing car; built, manufactured and designed by our own team to further the research and development and promoting the use of Electric Vehicles.
In 2017, we acquired SIM-Drive Corporation who pioneered and led the industry through development of numerous works of aspiration in the field of developing electric cars. By December 2018, we integrated the business with our electric vehicle division and established TAJIMA EV Corporation as a new company. This technology enables the placement of electric motor inside the wheel hub. The development of a compact high-efficiency motor made the unique design possible.The main advantages in using the motor would be the higher energy efficiency since the motor is one with the wheel and tire, traditional engine space is no longer required thus a larger available space becomes available and overall vehicle structure becomes simplified. There were concerns that placing large weight under the suspension would result in poor ride comfort however, numerous demonstration tests have proved there is no effect to ride quality.
Four-wheel independent control makes total use of each independent motor in each wheel. It is able to control and adjust the torque of each wheel according to vehicle attitude, load distribution and acceleration rate.
- Stable high-speed driving and steering performance
The SIM-Drive platform is the technology to mount all critical powertrain components for the movement of the vehicle which is the In-wheel motor located inside each wheel. By having high-efficiency motors in each wheel, large acceleration force can be achieved. The rugged frame structure located under the vehicle floor is a componentized frame with a hollow structure. The combination of design simplifies the overall body structure and enables an expansive floor space availability and stable movement.

Not only have we won various championships in domestic Japan but also at the World Rally Championship in the Pacific Rim, North and South American continent and European continent. “Tsunami Flood Floating Shelter” utilizes our own engineering techniques building light-weight and durable body of competition machines. Since the 2011 Great East Japan earthquake, the shelter brings great hope as ‘a life saving ark’ to the people residing on the shores of Japan.
Further developing on the fact that camping cars are an effective aid for disaster relief situations, we combine the concept with our Tsunami and Flood Floating Shelter “SAFE+” which enables rescue/aid workers to quickly deploy into disaster areas while reducing the disaster risk to the workers themselves.
As an effective tool for both leisure and disaster relief, we design and build our own original camping vehicles. Simple and feature rich, we actively implemented function to every aspect and left no margin for wasted potential. It is simply the most insightful camping car ever to be built.
Drone technology is useful in supporting disaster relief efforts or transporting necessary supplies to remote locations and extending further to many other critical situations.

Designing and fabricating vehicle body, engine unit, aerodynamic devices are only an example of our abilities and with our own private test track in Hokkaido, we are able to run actual road tests and experimentations.
