From his superb wild driving style, his nickname "Monster" was born. In All Japan Dirt Trial (rally sprint) Championship, he has achieved 9 series wins. From 1988, he started competing overseas, especially at the "Pikes Peak International Hill Climb". In 1995, he was the first Japanese competitor to achieve overall win. Also at New Zealand's "Race to the Sky", he has won 8 times, where the mountain is now called "Tajima's mountain". He has also entered overseas rally events, and as a spectacular achievement on the Asia Pacific Rally Championship, he has won 5 times in the 2WD division.

From 2002, as a new project he worked as a race team manager at the World Rally Championship, he achieved driver's champion in 2004. In 2006, he took on a new challenge, which is to enter the World Rally Championship together with Suzuki. He was again designated as the race team manager of the WRC project.

The Monster comes back to Pikes Peak Hill Climb of 2007, this time as a race driver and achieved overall win while breaking the record time and setting a new world record!

On July 26th 2011, the final race for the "Pikes Peak International Hill Climb" was held. Monster Tajima "Team GoPro Monster Sport with BC" sets the new world record of (9:51.278)!
He broke the 10 minute barrier and his own record (10:01.407) by 10 seconds, and achieved his sixth consecutive overall win.

Aiming for the 7th consecutive win, he challenged the 2012 Pikes Peak Hill Climb with an all original EV Racing Car "E-Runner Pikes Peak Special", and sent excitement and anticipation throughout the motorsport world.

2012 TEDxSeeds: Participated as speaker, talking about his vast experience with motorsports. The lecture was broadcasted worldwide.

2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (U.S.A.) Participated with an original Electric racing car "E-RUNNER Pikes Peak Special" and achieved first place for the electric vehicle division.First Electric Vehicle to break the 10 minute barrier and set a class record of 9m46s530.

In 1983, to help and support motorsport competitors he established Monster International Co., Ltd. (Later reorganized and renamed to TAJIMA MOTOR CORPORATION in November 2005). There, he worked together with many motorsport enthusiasts. The contribution toward motorsports and culture caught the attention of Suzuki Motor Corporation which led to the establishment of Suzuki Sport Co., Ltd. where its purpose is to become the Motorsport Division for Suzuki Motor Corporation as partners. Suzuki Sport Co., Ltd. totally handled the research and development, manufacturing, and assembly of competition vehicles.

Proactive in auto dealership and salesmanship, he handles Porsche, Peugeot, Citroen, and others in Japan as the authorized dealer. He also opened a Suzuki Arena dealership for Japanese vehicles, and both import and domestic auto dealerships continue to produce superb sales records even today.

In 2009, based on his long term motorsport experience and results, he established "Natural Energy Division" which will research and develop next-generation energy resources and the motorization of the resources. The program includes converting gasoline engine vehicles to electric power (EV Conversion) as well as research and development of the next-generation EV Commuter. In 2010, TAJIMA MOTOR CORPORATION announced the Micro EV Sports Car "E-RUNNER Mini Sport" which was designed and manufactured totally by its own company. Similar to a venture operation, the maneuverability of the organization directly relates to the effectiveness of free expression and exploring new and innovative ways of motorizing next-generation resources.

Taking action towards the popularization of EV, he has involved in the establishment of APEV (Association for the Popularization of Electric Vehicles). He became the Chairman in 2011, working toward to build a sustainable earth environment by leading electric vehicles for use in the general public.

2013 Assumed executive position of President of SIM-Drive Corporation, extensive experience with motorsports and high experience in business management.
